Our Journey

Hi and happy to have you on our site. We are two sisters, Tanya and Julie, who live on the opposite shores of the Pacific Ocean: one in Australia and the other in the US. You can probably relate to how each trip overseas ends up with a frantic search of that special gift and that meaningful souvenir that you can bring back and share with your loved ones.

This is how our store came about: after a few trips to visit each other and a few very similar sets of t-shirts and other trinkets, we decided it was time to create something of our own. The beauty of the Australian continent and its unique fauna became the source of inspiration and are at the heart of the brand.

The name, Wooby, is inspired by a childish slang word used in the US when referring to a comforting object (blanket, garment or stuffed animal). We want our products to evoke similar feelings - comfort and happy memories - whether you live in Australia or are here for a brief vacation.

We strive for our products to be fun, personable, and authentic and hope that you enjoy them as much as we enjoy creating them. Thank you for being a part of our journey and supporting this small female-owned business.
